With over 12 years of experience coaching youth baseball and a background in athletic performance coaching that spans nearly a decade, Jeff founded Asking for Knowledge Coaching to inspire young athletes to master the mechanics, mentality, and joy of baseball. Driven by a passion for fostering growth both on and off the field, AFK Coaching combines cutting-edge training techniques with a focus on character development to help players unlock their full potential.

Jeff holds multiple certifications including Brand X Method Youth Trainer, Driveline Baseball Coaches Certification in Youth Baseball Development, and High Level Pattern Swing Certification — Jeff brings a unique, multidisciplinary approach to player development with expertise extending beyond baseball mechanics, incorporating strength, conditioning, and mindset training for athletes aged 7 to 70.

In addition to coaching, Jeff has founded, co-founded, or led 13 different businesses, gaining valuable insights into growth, leadership, and development—principles that now shape AFK Coaching's approach to coaching and mentorship. This diverse experience allows Jeff to help athletes see the bigger picture: that the lessons learned through baseball can prepare them for success in every area of life.

At AFK Coaching, Jeff and Team are dedicated to creating a positive and dynamic environment where players are encouraged to try, explore, and grow. Whether refining a swing, improving athletic performance, or celebrating the joy of playing, AFK Coaching ensures each athlete feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their goals.

When not on the field or in the gym, Jeff enjoys consulting with business owners and leaders, reading, and spending time outdoors and with his family. With a deep belief in the power of effort, curiosity, and gratitude, Jeff is proud to lead a program that equips young athletes with the tools they need to succeed in sports and life.

At AFK Coaching, we're transforming how young athletes experience baseball. In today's youth sports landscape, we see players struggling with early specialization, getting discouraged by the game's challenges, and losing the pure joy of baseball. What ages do you work with?

We primarily focus on athletes ages 8-12, with special programs available for players 13 and older. This age range allows us to build strong foundations during crucial developmental years.

Do I need special equipment for the online training?

No! Our online Athletic Development program is designed to be completed at home without any special equipment. We focus on fundamental movements and exercises that build strength and coordination using body weight.

What technology do you use in training?

The Basement Lab features the latest in technology including HitTrax and HitTrax Viewpoint systems, Hack Attack Pitching Machine, Pocket Radar, and Blast Motion sensors.

How do I get started?

If you are interested in an Online Program, simply purchase the program and you will receive an email with all necessary instructions. If you're interested in our in person programs you will need to submit an application and our team will reach out to you with next steps.

Do you have a facility?

Yes and no. We operate out of the "Basement Lab", which is a home based, indoor batting cage outfitted with the latest technology including HitTrax, HitTrax Viewpoint, Hack Attack Jr., Blast Motion & Pocket Radar.

What areas of baseball do you train?

We focus exclusively on athletic development and hitting. Our athletic development programs are designed to help kids ages 6-12 build a foundation of speed, strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility that transfers to any athletic court or field. Our hitting programs teach the foundations of the High Level Pattern swing, which is modeled after the mechanics of the most successful hitters.
